Mum likes reading, decorating, shopping with the girls, and Starbucks. She also feels funny writing in the 3rd person. Papa (also known as Sparky) is currently looking at me with a blank stare having asked him to add something about himself to the blog. (Now he wants to say something) The only thing he loves more in life than music and Coke is his wife and kids. (Awww...) :) Little Lotte is a genius on the computer and makes me fall over laughing every day with her quick wit. She loves computers and animals. Sweet Pea abandoned her family and moved to Phoenix for work and is now married as of 2/28/06. She is beautiful and smart and the most nurturing person I know. She gave me the greatest gift ever when she made me a grandmother. I am the proud Mum Mum to Andrew Christopher. There are no words to describe the joy of having a grandson!

Dedication and Incredible Storm...

So this is really weird but every single time I have gone to a school dedication with my current principal, there is always this incredible monsoon storm that follows it. The last time -- about 8 years ago -- when they had the dedication ceremony, we were leaving and everyone was standing around a dead gila monster. Now gila monsters are just not as common as one might think. And it was freaky because the school's mascot happened to be a gila monster! So seeing a dead one on the night of the dedication was not a good omen. I've never seen one since -- alive or dead!

This evening we celebrated my current school's dedication. We had a picnic planned and luckily, the heaven's waited to open up until we were all safely in the MPR for the ceremony. It was rather comical though because as they were introducing the design team and the architect and the builders of the school, there were 5 teachers walking down the sides with buckets and various mops. Our school floods like crazy when it rains. Something is not right when a brand new school leaks not only in the ceiling but through walls and windows!!!

It dried up long enough for us to get home. And then the hail hit! And lightning galore. I got a couple of shots.... not as good as in years past but for my little camera, not bad. I didn't have a tripod -- I just go out and shoot. And of course, I had to add a picture of Andrew just because he is CUTE!!!!!!!

Great photos and look what the lightning left on the doorstep, a baby!

I sure missed that storm somehow, or it didn't hit our area as badly as where you are. Driving to and from Phoenix yesterday, I saw a lot of the interstate signs blown in half. That was sure a crazy storm!
