Mum likes reading, decorating, shopping with the girls, and Starbucks. She also feels funny writing in the 3rd person. Papa (also known as Sparky) is currently looking at me with a blank stare having asked him to add something about himself to the blog. (Now he wants to say something) The only thing he loves more in life than music and Coke is his wife and kids. (Awww...) :) Little Lotte is a genius on the computer and makes me fall over laughing every day with her quick wit. She loves computers and animals. Sweet Pea abandoned her family and moved to Phoenix for work and is now married as of 2/28/06. She is beautiful and smart and the most nurturing person I know. She gave me the greatest gift ever when she made me a grandmother. I am the proud Mum Mum to Andrew Christopher. There are no words to describe the joy of having a grandson!

Long Weekend/Happy Anniversary

Sparky and I met 34 years ago this weekend.

At church camp.

That's why we never let the girls go to church camp.

:-)

Anyway -- what a great weekend it's been. We spent Saturday cleaning and setting up fall at our house. Labor Day is fall. I'm from Pa. Deal.

Then we had some friends over for dinner. I made hamburgers, baked beans, and potato salad. They brought cherry pie and vanilla ice cream. It was soooo yummy!

Sunday we went one of my favorite neighborhoods for a little walk, Civano. The homes are small, energy hugatree ones and I love them. Later, we went to Tanque Verde Guest Ranch to say hi to the horses. We went to lunch before the ranch and then we were supposed to go to afternoon tea but the heat was doing me in. We stayed home and puttered around the house, relaxing, enjoying an unexpected evening rainstorm! Probably the last one of the season. :-(

Monday was shopping with Little L. I found a cute white pumpkin at Home Goods for $3.99 and a cute little white pumpkin for $1.00 at Michael's. I am reading too many decorating blogs where everyone has white pumpkins and I am trying to keep up with the whitepimpkinsjoneses. :-) I bought, what I thought, was black polka dot ribbon but turned out to be brown when I got home. The old eyes ain't what they used to be. When Little L and I go shopping, she runs the card and pushes the buttons and points to where I sign as those little screen are too, well, little -- and dark!

We had fun and then came home where I made homemade pasta with cream sauce (what is up with me?!) and now I am enjoying the U.S. Open with Sparky. Life is good.

But it will be better next weekend when I am with ALL of my loved ones. As much as I miss rain, there is no way I can leave because Andrew is in Phx. and I love him more than rain!!!

Sorry for the disjointed post... here are some Baby Roo pics to make up for it!

Your photos are just GORGEOUS! You spoke of loving Renee's photos? Holy cow gal...you've got something going on, or some great lenses. (Your camera that is...after hearing about that black/brown ribbon episode...yeah, I mean the camera-j/k!)

Happy Anniversary!

Cool, cool pictures. And I agree - your little guy is much better than rain.

So you guys met at church camp - too funny! Congratulations on your anniversary. Our 37th is coming up in a month.
