Summertiiiimmmmmeeeee and the Livin' is Easyyyyyyyyyy

I am having a blast! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time to refresh and retreat. I am ALMOST thinking about planning for work! (BUT NOT QUITE YET!!!!)

I painted Little L's room this week. TOP TO BOTTOM. I have muscles that are sore that I wasn't even aware that I owned. (The muscles, that is!) It turned out lovely and I took a before and after picture which I will post soon.

Today is a teacher's girls day out. I have some ladies who are near and dear to my heart and we plan a day every summer to get wild. Getting wild means we begin with a couple of hours at the casino and then go to lunch. Today we are being extra wild because one the them wants to go to an antique store after lunch. We normally don't shop together so I am looking forward to this! You see, I can't buy antiques or old things. I just have this thing about the smell and the "spirit" of the person who owned the item. It's just a weird thing with me. It probably has to do with having hand me downs as a child, I dunno but I don't like previously owned items. And that's funny because I drool over the items I see on my decorating blogs that I read. A lot of women can find great things at yard sales and antiques stores but it's just not for me. If it were not for Home Goods, I don't know how I would be able to decorate!

So anywho, I am off for a day of laughs and fun. Tomorrow I have to finalize anything that is still sitting in my TO DO pile (financial health stuff) and then Friday I will shop and prepare for Sparky's 50th birthday celebration.
