Another wonderful weekend with family in Phoenix. We had such a great time recreating T day on Saturday! We made a turkey with all the trimmings, we took Andrew to the park (he was not thrilled because it was nap time -- we didn't time it well -- but he was still a sweetheart!) and we played games. The evening ended with the traditional seasonal viewing of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. On Sunday, Sweet Pea and I got to do a little shopping and then it was back to Tucson for us. It was the greatest weekend and I can't wait for our next visit!

A Day at Cabela's with Andrew

I love to go to Cabela's. How odd is that? It reminds me of Pa. for some reason, all the hunting stuff. Can't explain it. But one day a few weeks ago when we were in Phx. we took Andrew to Cabela's. This grandparenthing thing is THE BEST! We had a blast.

Andrew just LOVED the white goat above this stuffed moose. You can see his little body is twisted around trying to look up at the white goat!


Pop Pop was so good about carrying him all around Cabela's...

In fact, Pop Pop was MUCH more interesting than the deer heads on the wall!






And the greenery wrapped around the banister was sooooo much more interesting than the other dead stuffed animals!





And Pop Pop's shoulder made the perfect teething toy!

Cause if I had a ham radio (and I don't) and I heard "kkkssskkksss.... this is Bluebird speaking, I have Radiant and Rosebud sighted at the Peter Pan ride, can I get a location on Renegade and Renaissance?" I would figure out they were at Disneyland. Ya know?

Little L is a part of history...

So this year, Little L got to vote for the very first time. She was quite excited and I wished I had my camera with me. In the early morning, before the sun even peeked over the horizon, I saw the most amazing thing. I was heading outside, past a window of the school library, and as I exited the door, I turned just in time to see her casting her vote into the electronic box. It was incredible to see her being a part of this historic day. I'll never forget it. I'll just never forget it.
